This weekend, from Friday (15th) evening to Monday (18th) morning, the 405 freeway is going to be shut down from the 101 to the 10 for construction. They’ll be widening the freeway as well as adding a carpool lane.
The 405 is known as the most congested freeway in the United States, with average daily traffic consisting of 374,000 cars.
Mayor Villaraigosa has been suggesting residents stay home and barbeque on what is expecting to be one of the worst weekends for traffic… ever.
